    PROJECTS TASKS

This week has been amazing, we’ve been able to meet the Lieutenant Governor, work for different people and departments, learned a lot about our government, and meet new people!
    Project Planning
8.00 hours raising money | Compassion
The planning part of my project was fun! I called and asked around local businesses to see if they would want to donate things to promote their business and help our fundraiser for Avery county parks and rec! We had a ton of donations including trips, gift cards, merchandise and so much more! I went around and picked up donations shortly after! Another part of my planning was making the flyers and posters, posting on facebook, buying baskets fillers and putting them together and setting up the day of! We ended up putting together 3 baskets, each valuing around/over $300 bringing our total value close to $1000. We planned to set up at our towns Easter egg hunt on April 4th. We would help hide eggs, set up, and raise money for Avery parks and rec!!
    Do the Project
5.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
On April 4th we arrived early in the morning to help hide eggs and to set up the tables with prizes and our raffle. Once all set up we hosted! we ended up raising over $500 to give back to Avery park and rec! We had so many people and business donate to help out this together and we couldn’t have done it without them!
