    SUMMARY
    Reflection
Working with several other passionate high schoolers I created Therapeutic Artistry! The program teaches students how to process their emotions through visual arts. I wrote my first grant, maintained a budget, created lesson plans for a month, and built leadership and team building skills! The National Art Honor Society at my high school is going to continue the program next year with a session each semester!
    Project Impact
We taught 16 middle schoolers how to process their emotions using four visual art projects.
    PROJECTS TASKS
    Page Week
28.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Connectedness
I worked under Ms. Erinn Foote for 4 days and gained a deeper understanding of NC State Government. I developed a service project and policy proposal.
    Project Planning
    7.00 hours leading a program | Compassion
Met with art teacher to plan out dates, wrote a grant for the project (received grant money shown in picture), created lesson plans for each day, and bought materials.
    Do the Project
    8.00 hours leading a program | Compassion
The program was four weeks long, we did a two hour session every week. Each session focused on a different emotion and a different art project. All supplies were provided for students through grant funding.
    Project Outcomes & Reflection
    4.00 hours leading a program | Compassion
I created goodie bags for all of our participants so they could continue “arting” after the program. I also submitted a project summary and completion to the National Contribution Project as they provided the funding for our events.
