    SUMMARY
    Reflection
Overall, planning this event took time and dedication to execute properly. I used my networking with my school’s BETA club to promote the event further. But next time I would strive to use my personal connections to promote my event more, to reach more people. I learned that networking can truly make or break event, and making sure everything is planned and executing properly plays a huge role into the success of an event.
    Project Impact
Showing compassion one card at a time, making over 20+ cards to lift hospital patients’ spirits!
    PROJECTS TASKS
    Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Respect
The week has been filled with fun, knowledge, and tons of community involvement. You learn a lot about government and all different types of professional settings.
    Project Planning
2.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
Writing “Get Well Soon” cards for the local children's hospital. This project gets the school involved showing compassion and spreading kind words to others going through something. These notes will help make the kids feel good and knowing there are people out there that care about them.
    Publicity
3.00 hours doing outreach | Connectedness
Made fliers to post around school and promoted on school’s morning announcements.
    Do the Project
4.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
Writing “get well soon” and “thinking of you” cards for hospital patients!
    Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Connectedness
Writing the cards for people that are less fortunate showed everyone who volunteered, the lesson of being fortunate and showing compassion and empathy. I am confident that within this card-making event that people that no matter the circumstances, we are all connected by being human-beings and we should show compassion for people who may be struggling!
